WI Voter ID Racket
On
closer look, however, it appears that the first two (which are really
just one) can claim modest weight at best, and the latter two, if
anything, weaken the State’s case. Get your rackets.
1. Modernizing election procedures
2. Protect voter fraud
3. Protecting public confidence in the integrity of the electoral process
4. Bloated voter roles
The rubbish being thrown into Wisconsin's election arena is ridiculous. This nonsense has to stop.

You may modernize election procedures in order to protect voter fraud. You may not modernize for the sake of modernizing. Technology has no value in this case. As Noam said, "it's neutral". As Souter said, "Useless technology has no Constitutional value". Go vote.
As to public confidence and integrity - give me a break. Some guy got 10 years in prison for voting twice on accident. No reasonable person would take that risk for one lousy vote.
On the flip side though a fake 501c you in prison I hope, might do a little end around the rule book for a little leverage. That certainly wouldn't have much influence on the election though would it?

Hey Pal. Us poor folks have more pressing issues (almost) on our plates-like food. If I have to "scurry" around town to get a birth certificate, I will. It's that important. I may miss work, get fired, lose my job, my house, and maybe even my wife and kids. All in the name of fairness. Get your rackets.
